Genuine BMW, Tested

OEM part #11617559523 pulled from low-mileage donor cars. Both DISA sensors confirmed functional. Includes gasket & hardware. 14-day fit guarantee.

Your N52 is making less power than it should.

BMW shipped the N52 with two very different intake manifolds. The 325i, 328i, 525i, 528i, 128i, and base Z4 3.0i got the simpler 2-stage design — capped at 215–230 hp. The 330i, 530i, X3, X5 3.0si, and Z4 3.0si / sDrive30i got the high-output 3-stage DISA — same part listed here, with three actuated runner lengths optimized for low, mid, and high RPM airflow. Roughly 25 hp and 12 lb-ft separates the two on the same engine block.

BMW knew this manifold was the better one. They charged extra for the cars that got it. On a 325i, 328i, 525i, 528i, 128i, or Z4 3.0i, swapping in the 3-stage is a real bolt-on — the kind of upgrade that wakes up the midrange and puts a smile on your face every time you bury the throttle.

One of our buyers dyno'd 268 hp on a 2007 328i after the 2-stage → 3-stage swap — well above the factory rating. New from BMW: $800+. From us: $269 shipped. Same OEM part number, same OEM connector, same engineering.

Already on the 3-stage? 330i, 530i, X3 (US LCI), X5 3.0si, Z4 3.0si / sDrive30i, and N51 SULEV cars shipped with this same part from the factory — no reason to buy this. If your DISA codes are throwing, the sensors are usually the culprit, not the manifold body. Doesn't fit the turbocharged N54 (Z4 sDrive35i, 135i, 335i), N55, or N20 engines either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much power will I actually gain?

Honest answer: it depends on what you're swapping from. Moving a 325i or 525i from the 2-stage to the 3-stage manifold is where the big gains live — that's the actual factory upgrade BMW put on their higher-output cars. Owners report meaningful midrange and top-end gains, and one of our 2-stage 328i buyers dyno'd 268 hp after the swap (factory rating: 230). We can't promise specific numbers — every car, fuel, and tune is different.

Do I need a tune or any other mods?

No. This is a true bolt-on. The 3-stage manifold uses the same connector and the same DISA-control logic the factory ECU already expects — your stock ECU runs it correctly out of the box. No JB4, no MHD flash, no piggyback. Just unbolt the old manifold and bolt this one in.

Will this fit my car?

This is for 2-stage N52 cars: 325i, 328i, 525i, 528i, 128i, and Z4 3.0i (E85). These shipped with the restrictive 2-stage manifold and gain real power from the swap.

If you're on a 330i, 530i, X3 (US LCI), X5 3.0si, Z4 3.0si / sDrive30i, or N51 SULEV car, you already have the 3-stage from the factory — there's no upgrade for you to make here. (If you're chasing a DISA fault code, it's almost always the sensors, not the manifold body — and we don't sell standalone sensors yet.)

Doesn't fit the turbocharged N54 (Z4 sDrive35i, 135i, 335i, etc.), N55, or N20 engines.

New or used?

Used genuine OEM, pulled from low-mileage, cosmetically damaged BMWs. Both DISA sensors are installed and tested functional before shipping — that's the part everyone worries about, and ours come pre-verified. New from the dealer runs $800+; ours is the same factory part for $269 shipped. Includes new gasket and mounting hardware.

Will it pass emissions / state inspection?

Yes — this is the factory BMW manifold (OEM part #11617559523). No CEL, no aftermarket sensors, no smog implications. The ECU sees the same part it expects.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship within four business days via USPS Ground Advantage. Most US addresses receive in 2–5 business days. Tracking is included on every order.

What's your return policy?

We offer a 14-day inspection window from delivery. If the part doesn't fit your N51/N52 or a DISA sensor isn't functional out of the box, message us within 14 days and we'll make it right (refund or replacement). We don't accept returns for change-of-mind, since this is a tested salvage OEM part.

Do you offer installation help?

Yes. The swap takes 3–4 hours in a home garage with basic hand tools. We can point you to step-by-step walkthroughs and torque specs — message us through the corner widget after ordering. Any independent BMW specialist can also do the install if you'd rather drop it off.

Why buy direct vs. your eBay listing?

Same part, same shop, same warehouse — buying direct skips eBay's fees, so you save about $30 vs. the eBay price ($269 shipped here vs. $283 + $16.38 shipping on eBay = $299.38). If you'd rather use eBay's buyer protection, the listing is here.

Do you ship internationally? Alaska, Hawaii, PR?

Direct orders ship to the continental US (lower 48 states) only. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, APO/FPO, and international buyers all need to use our eBay listing. eBay quotes the real shipping cost up front and handles customs for international, so you pay actual rates instead of getting refunded later.

See our full shipping policy for details.

Why is this cheaper than the dealer?

A brand-new BMW intake manifold from the dealer is $800+. We source salvageable OEM parts from cosmetically damaged BMWs — same factory part, fraction of the price. No middleman, no parts-counter markup.

Ready to wake it up?

$269 shipped to the continental US. Bolt-on, no tune. Both DISA sensors tested. 14-day fit guarantee.
